This unit teaches us productive skills, specifically speaking and writing skills. Speaking and writing skills are equally important, but writing skill is more difficult for students learning a new language. When teaching a new language to students, the teacher should focus on the accuracy and fluency of the language. Accuracy and fluency are equally important, but each comes into different stages of a lesson. I learned that games that focus on accuracy are great tools to help students learn a new language. If a student is motivated and engaged in an activity that he/she likes, he/she is more susceptible to learning and retaining what he/she is learning.
