This unit teaches us about pronunciation and phonology. In a sentence, the intonation carries the message in the sentence. In a sentence, the part that is stressed will convey the meaning of what the speaker is trying to say. It is very difficult even for native speakers. I have a clearer in-depth understanding of how words are pronounced, and how the mouth and vocal chord play a big role in pronouncing a word. I did not realize that English depends on how much vocal we put into a word will carry a different meaning than what is actually said. This unit is very difficult, even for native speakers.
