This Unit provided an overview of typical definitions and expectations of learners and teachers. In regards to the course, I would like to mention a valuable tool presented on page five of the Unit 1 study guide. It gives a valuable description of what makes a good learner. This will be a valuable tool for me in my daily evaluation of students, because these can be guideline criteria for assessing my student’s attitude and potential for learning. I had previously considered these qualities, such as a willingness to ask questions, a desire to experiment with the language, and an acceptance of error correction; however, I had never organized them like this, so this will be a useful tool.
