Speaking and Writing are apart of the Productive Skills students need when studying English. Writing which is the more difficult skill requires a greater degree of accuracy than speaking. The general aim is for communication to take place. An effective teacher will tap into these areas to ensure that his/her classes covers any or all of these areas so as to build an interest in the lesson. Games can also be used to teach students vital skills about the English Language and should not only be seen as a form of activity to make up for time, it should have a purpose or goal.
