Unit 20 focuses on troubleshooting. During first lessons the teacher should not use the textbook and do activities to establish rapport; find out the students' interests,needs and acquired English level. Activities can include surveys and pass the ball. Warmers are used in the beginning of lessons to stimulate interest and create a good mood. Warmers can include hangman; pictionary; tongue twisters and memory games. Classes where students are at different levels could be challenging. The following are ways of dealing with different level classes: use different materials for stronger and weaker students; use the same material but give different tasks to students; pair stronger students with weaker ones. Large classes might be more easily managed by using worksheets; pairwork; choral repition and choosing groupleaders to assist.
