In this Unit i've learnt that a teacher should be kind and patient, but also must be entertaining to be able to motivate and involve all of their students while also having good subject knowledge, that the important roles of a teacher are to manage, organise and monitor the class while also participating in certain games or exercises to build moral, and for one to one with students a teacher should tutor, prompt and at all times be a model to students in the correct application of the English language. I have learnt that the qualities of a good learner are a willingness to listen, to learn, to experiment and to ask questions, but also to find their own methods of learning and to not be afraid to admit to making mistakes and a willingness to correct them. I have also learnt that there is a difference in teaching different age groups with adults being willing to learn and have good concentration but are also rigid in their learning methods and overly anxious of mistakes, where as a teenage learner is less motivated to learn and very self conscious, while very young learners have short attention spans and harder to control behaviour.
