In this unit, I have learned the importance of lesson planning. The first is as an aid to planning, it helps to think logically through each stage during the lesson. The second as a working document, it means that a lesson plan helps to keep on the target language, gives something to refer to during the lesson. The third is a record to track the lesson and help another co-worker if they have to cover the classes. There are some basic principles to bear in mind when writing a lesson plan such as keep it simple, use the same structure, write the anticipated time, check the balance of skills and be flexible which means open to adaptation.
