In this unit we learned about productive skills- accuracy (usually in study phase) and fluency (usually in the activate phase). Accuracy is more related to the output in writing because writing doesn't often provide the opportunity for readers to "infer" the correct meaning as spelling and punctuation play a big role in writing. Fluency is more related to the output in speaking. The teacher should be more diligent in ensuring that students are corrected and understand the accuracy in their writing through guided activities while teachers should allow for students to drive the speaking activities that are related to fluency and ensuring that pronunciation and overall meaning is clear through speaking.
