This was fun. I enjoyed the pronunciation and phonemic symbols. The ability to pronounce or reproduce correct sound patterns is just as important as learning any other aspect of the English language. Non native speakers of English might find it difficult to reproduce sounds because of the different parts of the speech organ that they may use. It is equally as difficult for native speakers to identify the rise and fall of speech as it is second nature to them but this is very important to learners of the language as the intonation and pitch of some words can have different meanings. The main act or reason for someone engaged in the act of communication is trying to understand what is being said. Stress, rhythm and intonation when taught correctly will help with this.
