This unit reviewed the two receptive skills, reading and listening. This an important topic as it involves how to pay attention to your students as they engage in different reading a listening activities. In addition, this unit looks over the various stages of reading and listening such as, skimming, reading for detail, predicting, scanning, and deducting from content. With these stages, there are various levels of how much information is obtained. Lastly, this unit covers and example lesson plan of comparisons of clothing. The engage stages asks the students clothing they know and compare clothing from other countries, the study phase Is a worksheet of fill in the blank, and answering questions about types of clothes. Lastly, the activate stage could have the students reveal pieces of their worksheet or maybe have discussion about more clothing they have seen in other parts of the world/ where a majority of clothing is made.
