During unit 12 we look into productive teaching methods through speaking and writing. With this lesson we look at a couple different topics. The first one being the difference between accuracy and fluency. Accuracy is normally initiated during the study stage of a lesson, and it is where more drilling and completing the activity, where the majority is understood and processed. Fluency is producuced more during the activate phase, where the students complete word gaps or debates. The next part of the unit reflects on various activities and games that we can engage in with our students to help motivate them and encourage their speaking and writing skills. When looking into these games, we want to make sure we are spreading out the information and examples in order for the students to best understand. Lastly, with these skills, we particularly want to make sure the student is using the correct pronounciation, spelling, use of punctuation, and has legiable handwriting. We can encourage these skills by doing creative writing activities and having the students present their story afterwards.
