During this unit, I've learned how to teaching new language. There are three parts, vocabulary, grammar and function. There are four things the students need to do with new language, be exposed to, understand its meaning, understand how it's constructed and be able to practise and product it. When it comes to teaching vocabulary, I need to select the vocabulary based on appropriacy to students, to the task, frequency and coverage, teachability. And also to make sure the students need to know the meaning, use, grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation. There are also different activities I can use during the engage part, study part and activate part to help the class be more successful. About teaching grammatical structures, the meaning, use, forms and patterns, spoken and written forms are important to students to learn. Same goes to the function teaching. There are all kinds of activities i can use during different stage, by learning these skills, I can make better choice with the teaching materials and better class form.
