The unit discussed why lessons should be planned and how it should be done, with a sample lesson plan form followed by a self evaluation form. There was also a bullet point list of things to consider when planning a sequence of lessons. I have previously learned to write lesson plans and I have written different kinds of plans, less and less detailed as I gained experience, but there were some new items on the sample form. I had never seen "anticipated problems" in a lesson plan, it's an interesting idea. I had never considered filling out a self evaluation form to monitor my lessons neither but will certainly consider it. All in all, the unit was a good checklist for lesson planning.
