Unit 18, modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice consisted of a focus on modal auxillary verbs first. Modals such as can, could, may can be used to describe obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability and advice. These modals are used depending on the situation or context. Next we looked at the differences between passive and active voice and the various tenses they are used in. This was followed by a look at relative clauses and we finished with the fairly confusing phrasal verbs, which I will have to do further work on to fully comprehend.
