Gilsum, New Hampshire TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
This unit covered the final English grammar topic in this course. The unit examined modal auxiliary verbs, the passive vs. the active voice, phrasal verbs, and relative clauses. Modal verbs are important because they can help to express more meaning than just the main verb in a sentence. Should, could, can, must, and will for example can all be used to give advice, but depending on which word I use will determine how strongly or weakly I advise. In this unit, I found the relative clauses and phrasal verbs to be quite challenging because I felt like there wasn't very much information given about them. I will need to do further research on my own to feel like I fully understand these aspects of English grammar.
