This unit covered lesson planning. It included reasons why a teacher should plan their lessons, some sample lesson plans, and some sample worksheets that a teacher might use. Preparation is, of course, an important part of any teacher's job, and I have learned that lesson plans can help with reducing awkward gaps between activities or other instances where the teacher might have to scramble for something to do. Also, anticipating problems before they pop up and having a solution prepared is essential for keeping the lesson running smoothly. The more prepared a teacher is, the more confident they are in carrying out the lesson, and therefore the more confidence the students have in their teaching ability.
