From this unit, I understand there are two receptive skills when it comes to language teaching, reading and listening. Reading and listening can be conducted for a certain purpose or entertainment.There are also many effective ways to ensure reading quality, such as skimming, scanning or reading for detailed information. In order to engage students into classes, reading materials should be properly chosen. Definitely, topics in various levels to cater for different students are quite necessary. Then, teachers should use different method, like ESA or patchwork to demonstrate reading or listening classes to students. Be aware that helping students deal with problmatic vabualaries is compulsory.
