Unit 12, teaching productive skills, focuses on writing and speaking. Speaking and writing activities can be broken down into accuracy and fluency activities. Accuracy activities are more focused on drilling and perfecting the correct use of the language or grammar. Fluency activities are more open and encourage students to be creative and try new things with the English language skills. I feel like the fluency activities lend themselves to lots of role play, pair and group work where students can have fun working together and learning from each other.
