Speaking and writing are two productive skills, they are used to communicate, and communication is the important part in using a language. There are accuracy and fluency activities, which are equally important. Speaking activities often requires student interaction, such as pair work or group work. A speaking activity lesson also have three phases, engage, study and activate. Teachers should have some preparation before a speaking lesson, during activity should monitor the students and after the activity should provide feedback. For writing, readable handwriting, correct spelling, layout and punctuation are essential for a good piece of writing. For creative writing, many of the same principles are applied to writing activities as speaking activities. Creative writing should be encouraged, as it engages the students.
