In my personal view, a lesson plan is still important in every day teaching. Teachers must know what they expect the students to achieve by the end of the lesson. It also helps teachers to keep on target and give them something to refer to during the lesson. It also act as a record of what a class has done. Teachers can also make some changes for future lessons if an aspect of the lesson did not work out the way they wanted.
