Unit 12 Teaching productive skills was very brief and straightforward just like the previous unit. The two productive skills are speaking and writing which are equally important. I have learnt that accuracy activities concentrate more on producing correct language (study phase) whereas the fluency activities give the learners room to be creative and explore the language (activate phase). I have also understood the techniques that the teacher may use to encourage students to communicate well in the classroom. Writing skills are often neglected though they are very crucial, therefore there is great need for EFL teachers to push on this aspect.
