This unit was about teaching special groups; the groups including teaching beginners, teaching individual students, teaching children, business english for specific purposes and the multilingual class. There are many different types of beginners, and in this lesson I learned about the absolute beginner, the false beginner, the adult beginner, the young beginner and the beginner without roman alphabet. When teaching beginners I learned that the techniques to do this, the possible problems, and the motivations different depending on the age of the student. This unit also focused on how to teach individual students and suitable activities. Suitable activities include short stories, quizzes, discuss relevant topical news, goal-oriented activities and photographs and visual aids for example. There are many things to consider when teaching students of different ages, and how to conduct a lesson. It is a good idea to use English as the language for instruction and not the students native language, speak slowly in short sentences, come down to the students physical level and play simple games. One don't that is very important is don'l put an individual child on the hot seat.
