From Unit 1, I have learned about the different roles a teacher may play in the classroom, such as the organizer, model, and participant. These roles are interchangeable and may be switched depending on the teacher's lesson and objective. An important factor that effects learning is age. Older students may be more motivated because they learn out of personal desire. There are also differences in motivation to learn based on age ranges of younger learners. For example, post-puberty ages are comparatively less motivated than younger learners, whom keep attention more easily through games. There are specific levels of language development that can be categorized from Beginner to Advanced, or using the European Framework, A1 to C2. C2, or Avdanced learners tend to be highly motivated, but may hit a "brick wall", so need to be encouraged to find internal motivation.
