In this unit, I have learnt that they are four basics kills in any language, Receptive skills and productive skills. The receptive skills are listening and reading. There are various reasons to which we read and listen. We can either read for a purpose or for entertainment.
There are numbers of special skills we use in reading and listening. This skills are:
-Predictive skill
-Scanning skill
-Skimming skill
-Detailed information.
-Deducting from content.
There are also some problems related in teaching receptive skills. Theses problems are:
-Language: reading has a fewer problem than listening. However the more language is expose to the students the more easier the student feels comfortable.
-Topics: The topic of the dialogue is very important.
