In general, this first unit has given me the opportunity to overview many aspects of the teaching and learning process, that we sometimes forget and don't apply in the classroom. For example, the 5 qualities a teacher must have: kindness and patience, must love the job, has to be lively and entertaining, able to motivate, involve all students. All these are aspects that if you don't find them in your personal and professional life, you won't be a successful teacher and will need to improve very much to be able to succeed in a teaching career. For me, unit one was a fresh look at the principal reasons for teaching English, I would definitely recommend all teachers around, to redo unit one as a basic reminder of the prime teaching values and quality characteristics that a teacher should have in this time and era.
