Classroom management is of great importance in a teaching environment. In this Unite I have learnt that classroom management is the skill of organizing and the managing of a class, having a friendly, relaxed manner and maintaining discipline.
Some of the skills learnt in the Unit are:
- eye contact, gesture and the voice
- Grouping of students
- classroom arrangement
- writing on the board.
- Giving individual attention
- The balance between the TTT and the STT.
- Giving instructions.
- Establishing reports between teacher and students.
- Maintain discipline.
All of this skills are subjected to other variations and factors to which a teacher need to sensitive to in order to maintain a good, relaxed and friendly class.
