This unit is consisted of some parts. The first part is about teachers and what qualities a good teacher should have. There are explained roles of the teacher( manager, organizer, assesor, prompter, participant, tutor, facilitator, model, observer. The second part is about learners and what makes a good learner. There are three categories of young learners which are based on the differences in age. Adult learners have special features (learning experience, motivation, nervousness, behavior problems, life experience), and a short part about that the teacher should use different approaches to learning for different cultures. The third part is about languages levels of learners. We can distinguish the following levels as a beginner, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate, advanced. The final part is about motivations of learners which attract them to learn English. In my opinion this unit helped me to know all roles of the teacher in the teaching process, because I used all these roles unconsciously and I can mix my automatical skills with theoretical knowledge.
