This unit is about the method to teach new language. Firstly, we must teach vocabulary. Teaching vocabulary is very important to get by the language. The difficulty of the vocabulary depend on some factors , such as: the similarity to student's own language, English words already known, spelling and pronounciation and appropriacy. We must select the vocabulary which are suitable to students/ the task, frequency and coverage, teachability. What we teach are the meaning, usage (how and when to use it), word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation. The unit introduce some techniques to teach vocabulary and an example of typical ESA vocabulary lesson (straight arrow structured ESA vocabulary).
Secondly, we teach the grammar structures.This unit also introduces some techniques to teach.
