Present simple tense is to talk about facts, newspaper headlines, habitual actions, directions and instructions, commentaries, present stories, hobbies and scheduled events in the near future. Present continuous tense is used to talk about action that is happening at the time of speaking, temporary action which may not be happening at the time of speaking, definite future or planned events, and developing situations. Present perfect tense is used to talk about something that started in the past and still are true at the time of speaking, past actions with present results, and general experiences. Present perfect continuous is used to talk about incomplete and ongoing activity and uninterrupted activity with present result.
