This unit mainly discussed how to teach a new language, including vocabulary, grammar, and functions.
We teaching vocabulary, we need to know how to select vocabulary, what students need to know about a vocabulary item and the techniques of teaching vocabulary (typical ESA method).
While teaching grammatical structure, we need to teach the meaning, use, forms and patterns as well as the spoken or written form. we could use ESA patchwork or a typical lesson.
When teaching language functions, we could use ESA boomerang for a typical lesson.
