Planning lessons is good practice and a great idea, and should be implemented. I think of it as the skeleton of a body so to speak, well that's the metaphor I would use. And all lessons should include the following: Learner objectives, Personal aims (my goals for the lesson), Class level, Room number, class size, Date & time, Focus, Anticipate student & teacher problems along with their solution. The lesson plans serves a myriad of purposes, and ensure the students have what they need for every step of the lesson. As discussed I chapter there can be several Engage, Study, and Activate stages.
