After completing this unit, I still maintain my belief that working through tense units are the hardest for a native english speaker. It is incredible all the variety of sentences we use without even knowing it, and how someone can dissect a sentence into it's various parts and tenses. Although I found this very challenging to distinguish between the various tenses, once I have more practice using the concept I think it will be quite fun. I am a practical individual (very true to my Virgo sign), and have already noticed how much easier it is read a sentence and put each of it's part into an appropriate category for determining it's tense. In this unit I learned about the various future tenses which include future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect, be going + infinitive, present simple and present continuous. While I was able to use rules I learned in the previous units, I still had a challenging time breaking down the sentences. I can see why these kinds of topics are best learned through practice and repetition. What I did find is utilizing one example for a tense is not enough to understand the variety of sentences that could be utilized. I found it was easier to understand why that tense was used, and to go from there to learn the sentence structure that tense would have.
