In unit three I learned about the many different teaching methods, activities for student engagement, and the correct ways to provide positive feedback to students. I also learned about the ESA or Engagement, Study, and Activation method. This teaching method was created based on to positive and negatives of each teaching method that came before it. In the the engagement stage teachers main goal is for students to demonstrate their prior knowledge and engage. In the study phase students should be practicing their skill set with worksheets and or partners and this is a time for teachers to provide constructive feedback. Finally, in the activate stage students should be using all of their language knowledge to participate in activities.
