Unit 5 observed an important issue - classroom management. It gave me an information how the right usage by the teacher of his/her voice, gesture and eye-contact can help to manage the class; how it can either affect or be conducive to leraning process and the classroom atmosphere in general.
Also, the unit tells which questions the teacher should bear in mind,and which issues to consider when he/she is going to arrange the desks in the classroom.
Another thing the unit taught was, when there is a teacher talking time, in what pace to talk, and what kind of language level to choose in order that students would understand the teacher's speech, as well as how to minimise teacher's talking time. It also gave some very important recommendations about how to make sure that all the students are involved, how to be able to give individual help, which options of students groupping are there, what the advantages and disadvantages of each options are.
The unit is very important, and I am looking forward to start applying the suggestions it gave me.
