This unit has taught me the difference between fluency and accuracy. The language is controlled by the teacher for accuracy and by the student for fluency. Teachers should encourage students to speak by using group work and careful planning. I have also learned the factors for teaching writing skills. Handwriting, spelling, layout, punctuation, and creative writing are all ways to aid students writing skills. Games are also a way to engage students and are divided into competitive games and co-operative games. Whatever activity the teacher decides to use with their students should be engaging and interactive for the students in order to produce a more conducive learning environment.
