There are 4 Present tenses in English: Simple, Continuous, Perfect and Perfect Continuous.
We use Present Simple when we talk about routines, habits and general facts. We do not need an auxiliary verb in statements, but need "do" in interrogative and negative sentences.
We use Present Continuous when we talk about actions that take place right now, at this very moment (or around the moment of speaking). Auxiliary verb "be" and present participle form of the main verb are needed.
We use Present Perfect when we speak about indefinite past moments or past actions having a link with a present moment. Auxiliary verb "have" and past participle help to construct this tense.
Both "have" and "be" (in the form of "been") are used for Present Perfect Continuous. Its main usage - actions continuing up to the present moment for a certain period of time already.
