In this unit we studied about the productive skills- speaking and writing. While speaking & writing are substantially different in many ways , but both are used for the same purpose to communicate. When people are communicating, they have some purpose of communication, either they are interested to talk on the topic or interested to listen about something. A teacher should introduce a variety of communicative activity where the concentration is on producing the language or fluency activity where, concentration is on allowing students to be creative with language or guided activities which are accuracy based but more creative & productive. A teacher should give importance to writing skills as well, for improving writing skills in a student teacher should take care of learners handwriting, spellings , layout and punctuation of the content written by the learners. A teacher should do a creative writing ESA activity to improve & encourage students to write and speak in English. We have learned about various games that we can play with learners in class to build there confidence on the language speaking and improve there productive and receptive skills.
