This lesson was about the different roles and characteristics of the teacher and the learners. We learned that teachers have many roles to play in the classroom and must be flexible and intuitive enough to change roles depending on the situation. Playing any role to the exclusion of all others does not make a good teacher. There must be a balance between all roles. We also learned what makes a good teacher.
We learned that learners have different motivations, experiences, and behaviors depending on their age level. The course content must be catered to these subjects. There are also a range of learners as far as language ability.
