In this unit , we studied about classroom management, it is the skill of organizing and managing the class, having friendly, relaxed manner & maintaining discipline. A teacher should always have an eye contact with the students as well as good use of gestures can also be effective and useful in explaining the language and managing the class.
We have also learned about different types of grouping that can be done in the class depending upon the number of students, their age, class size, type of activity etc. We also studied about classroom management, the way in which you organize the position of the students and yourself. Students sitting arrangement can be made in different types viz. orderly rows, circles& horseshoes , separate table and teaching position also plays an important role.
Teachers should give atten to all the students equally, a teacher should maintain a good rapport with the students. A teacher should make instructions effective by using simple language , being consistent with set of words for same instructions, using visual clues & checking the understanding of the instructions among the students.
