In this unit I learned the proper form or tenses according to their usage.The correct usage of past simple regular verbs is by adding 'ed' to the base form of the verb like 'work' to 'worked'.There were changes of spelling when using the irregular verbs in the past simple tense like 'catch' to 'caught'.The use of the past continuous form of the verb is by using irregular verbs 'was/were'+subject+verb+ing."It was getting darker."The pattern used for the past perfect is the use of 'had+past participle followed by this sample sentence,'When I arrived the concert had started.'As for the past perfect continuous is followed by the sample sentence,'My brother had been playing guitar for ten years now'.
