I found this unit very complementary to a course I took at my University on foreign language teaching. However, as an American, I did not know about the European system.
The book "The Art of Teaching," by Gilbert Highet, likewise gives first-hand experience regarding many of those facets listed within the unit as conducive to being a good teacher, as well as those behaviors which may influence the learners and how to interact with them in a productive manner. I highly recommend it for the reading list given at the beginning of this course.
