I have learnt that teaching of pronunciation is important because it gives life to a class because it reflects feelings and personal reactions to different situations. Althought it is ofthen neglected by teachers due to the lack of training and confidence to tackle this area of study. It is also rarely taught at school or even universities. Most native English speakers find it difficult to hear the rise and fall of the speech. For the most part of this lesson, I have to admit that I really enjoyed the "sound joining" part and the "linking speech" as I find it really interesting and new for me. This was never taught to me in the schools that I have attended. I also enjoyed reading the phonetic script. It excites me a lot to learn new things like this.
