This section covers the 4 sub-tenses of the present tense: the present simple (e.g. I eat rice every day), the present perfect (e.g.I haven't eaten rice today), the present continuous (e.g. I'm eating rice today), and the present perfect continuous (I've been eating rice my whole life). I was a bit surprised that the present perfect wasn't part of the past tenses due to the use of the past participle, and so the usage section really helped me better understand why it is, in fact, part of the present tense. The breakdown of each tense into form, usage, typical errors/mistakes and sample Activate teaching ideas was extremely helpful as well since it gave me a clear understanding of how to use each tense and how to put it into practice with my students.
