Bloomsdale, Missouri TESOL Online & Teaching English Jobs
My take from this final unit, always ensures that we establish rapport with students to get students more comfortable with the class and also with the teacher. As a new English teacher, there are many ways I can build rapport with my students, by finding out about my student’s needs and desire for English and also finding language level of the students, so that I can make each lesson more efficient and effective. There are many activities a teacher can use to build rapport with students, but the one I like most is the pass the ball game as it helps both the teacher and students to get to know each other better and thus establishing rapport. I have also learned that each student will come with different language level, but a good teacher should always try to put the stronger students with weaker students to help the weaker students improve their language ability, however, as the teacher, we should ensure the stronger students do not dominate and do all the work. Finally, in order to get all students to participate in all activities are to use plenty of pair work, role and controlled practice in the classroom to have all students equal involve in all classroom activities.
