Unit 13 focuses on teaching pronunciation and phonology. Of all the teaching components in the English language, pronunciation and phonology are among the most challenging to explain, but an effective teacher will find a way to integrate it into the lesson plan. When a teacher understands components such as articulation and how sounds are constructed with the speech organs, facilitating a class becomes easier because students can understand what tongue placement is supposed to make what sound.
