This unit discusses an important aspect of English language which is pronunciation. It focuses on three main areas: intonation, stress, and rhythm. It explains the difference between intonation and stress. It also gives examples of the normal pattern of intonation and the part of speech that typically receives the stress within a sentence. One important point I learned in this unit is the techniques for teaching intonation, stress, and individual sounds. Another thing that added to my information is the examples of sound joining and linked speech. One last thing that the unit introduces thoroughly is articulation; place and matter of articulation.
