This unit is comprised of the basic sentence structure in the English language. What I have learned from this unit is a review of sentence structure from elementary school. Even as a PhD. student, the basic mechanics of a sentence are often taken for granted because I use technology to observe my writing habits and prompt me if a sentence needs correction. Structure components such as the noun, verb, adjective, and pronoun come to mind with ease, but often the subcomponents of a sentence structure are difficult to recall. For example, transitive and intransitive verbs is a section of this unit I read carefully because I had forgotten the definition and use of these verbs. Overall, the unit was a great start to this course because it shows me that no matter how much I know about the English language, I can always learn more.
