This unit discusses the two productive skills, speaking and writing. Although they are different in many ways, they both are used for the same purpose – to communicate. The unit also differentiates between accuracy and fluency and which activities are suitable for each of them. It also includes different speaking activities that can be done with the students along with ways to encourage them to speak. Two important things I learned in this unit are the issues that a teacher should consider for a writing activity and examples of games that could be adapted for the classroom.
