This unit discusses modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. It examines modal auxiliary verbs and passive voice in details but gives only a brief overview of phrasal verbs and relative clauses. Regarding modals, it clarifies their usage and their forms in different tenses along with few teaching ideas. Concerning passive voice, it differentiates active and passive voices and shows how to change from the active into the passive and vice-versa. Finally, it gives a brief overview of both the two types of relative clauses (defining and non-defining) and the three types of phrasal verbs (intransitive – transitive separable – transitive inseparable).
