Unit 5 introduced the topic of managing classes. It tells about the important things like eye contact, gestures, the voice of the teacher, how they can affect the dynamics in the classroom and the discipline. There are many factors that play an important role in managing the class such as teacher's talking time vs student talking time, good rapport with the class, personal relationships between the students, the teacher's position, etc. I learned the advantages and disadvantages of different sitting arrangements and student groupings which is very helpful.
